Two days after authorities registered an attempted murder case against educator and online teacher Faizal Khan for allegedly directing his guards to shoot toward a crowd near his Patna coaching center in the Musallahpur locality, officers are still searching for him. At the same time, several classroom recordings appeared online in which he justified his conduct and asked pupils not to accept misleading accounts of the event.

The recordings surfaced while speculation grew that Khan, known publicly as Khan Sir, might face arrest or turn himself in. Their authenticity could not be confirmed independently. Security was strengthened at important sites in the city, including the Patna Civil Court, as the search continued.

Reports indicate that student demonstrations outside the institute slowed police response. By the time officers reached the Khan Global Studies premises on Friday afternoon, Khan was absent, and he later became unreachable to investigators.

Police have avoided detailed public statements on possible arrest. Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K Sharma stated Friday that the two guards seen firing in circulated videos are already in custody. Regarding Khan, he noted that further steps would follow from investigation results and collected evidence.

An FIR filed June 4 lists Khan, his guards and others under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections covering attempted murder plus Arms Act provisions. It followed statements from the guards claiming Khan ordered them to shoot during clashes on June 2 and said he would manage consequences.

Through Friday and Saturday, police carried out widespread vehicle checks across the district. Large numbers of students assembled outside the coaching center on Friday evening, leading to additional police presence. Officers were also posted at every entrance of the Patna Civil Court.

Khan’s lawyer Arvind Kumar Mouar indicated an anticipatory bail plea would probably be submitted by Monday. He claimed the FIR was filed for retaliatory reasons and that Khan’s name was included only because of disclosure statements. The lawyer asserted Khan had no involvement in the incident and denied reports that he planned to surrender.
