Tata Consultancy Services has entered a multi-year, multi-million euro agreement with Canada Life, a major global life and pensions provider, to upgrade its IT systems throughout Europe. TCS will apply its artificial intelligence and digital tools to oversee and modernize data centers, core infrastructure, end-user computing, and software lifecycle processes. The initiative aligns with Canada Life’s ongoing technology upgrade plans and aims to enhance scalability while enabling faster responses to business needs. TCS will also fund training, certification, and career programs for infrastructure staff in the UK, Ireland, the Isle of Man, and Germany. The contract reflects growing competition among Indian IT companies for European deals as spending slows in North America. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCLTech have increased local hiring and delivery centers across the region. The new partnership bolsters TCS’s insurance sector standing and its footprint in the UK and Ireland. Canada Life’s Chief Information and Transformation Officer for Europe noted TCS’s selection was based on technical skill, transformation experience, and teamwork. TCS’s UK and Ireland head stated the project highlights the firm’s strength in AI-driven change and will boost efficiency, resilience, and flexibility in IT operations.
