Whistleblowers and sources deserve absolute protection. Before you contact us, understand the secure channels available and which method is right for your situation.

SecureDrop (Most Secure)
Our SecureDrop instance is hosted on the Tor anonymity network. It requires the Tor Browser. Your submission is end-to-end encrypted and we receive no metadata. Recommended for high-risk sources.

Signal is end-to-end encrypted. Contact our investigations desk via Signal. Disappearing messages enabled. Use a SIM not registered to your identity if possible.

If you use PGP email encryption, our journalists' public keys are published on our keyserver. This provides message encryption but not metadata protection.

For physical documents and maximum anonymity. Post to our investigations desk. Do not include your return address. Consider posting from a location unconnected to your home or workplace.

Our Commitment to You
We will never disclose your identity without your explicit consent. We will never cooperate with surveillance requests targeting journalists or their sources. We have successfully protected the identities of sources in legal proceedings on seven separate occasions. Source protection is non-negotiable at Bharat Chronicle.
