OpenAI has unveiled a new $100 Pro subscription option for its Codex coding assistant, designed to rival offerings like Anthropic’s Claude Max. This tier grants users five times the access available in the $20 Plus plan, enabling extended and more demanding programming tasks. The update follows OpenAI’s recent decision to exclude third-party applications, such as OpenClaw, from regular subscription allowances. Instead, interactions via these external tools will now operate on a pay-per-use basis.
