A new demonstration erupted in Noida’s Sector 80 on Tuesday, where employees demanding higher pay confronted law enforcement, with some individuals hurling stones. Officers intervened to break up the gathering, pursuing demonstrators and restoring order to the site.

Earlier that day, staff from a local manufacturing plant held a non-violent rally outside the facility to highlight salary concerns. Participants voiced frustration with a recent pay adjustment and called for official minimum wage figures to be posted at entrances.

Demonstrators pointed out inconsistencies in benefits, claiming that experienced and entry-level workers received equivalent compensation packages. They also accused the company of dismissing staff after nine months and then rehiring them to prevent benefit escalations.

Additional issues involved pay rates during and following training periods, with employees reporting an initial rate of Rs 90 per hour that decreased to Rs 50 per hour after one year. Meanwhile, many worry that implementing required wage standards might result in layoffs, heightening job insecurity.

This is an ongoing situation and will be updated as more details emerge.
