Three relatives of former Indian cricketer and Trinamool Congress parliamentarian Yusuf Pathan have been arrested on charges of attacking a 31-year-old man. In response, Pathan’s mother-in-law described the incident as a minor altercation among youths that resulted in injuries on both sides. She asserted that the accusations are unfounded and aimed at tarnishing Pathan’s image as West Bengal approaches its state assembly elections. Naseebjaan Mohd Khaliq emphasized that the family has never leveraged Pathan’s status to intimidate others and invited verification from local residents.
