Arjumand Gulzar, also known as Burhan Hamza, was killed by unidentified gunmen in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, according to officials. A designated terrorist originally from Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, he was considered the main planner of the 2019 attack on a CRPF convoy. Hamza had previously been linked to groups including Al Badr and Al Baraq and maintained ties with Pakistan’s intelligence agency. He was attacked while under security protection, suffered critical injuries, and later died at a military hospital in Rawalpindi. The assailants escaped before local forces arrived.
