The Central Bureau of Investigation detained two additional suspects on Wednesday in the NEET-UG 2026 question paper leak inquiry, raising the total arrests to 13. The individuals are identified as Dr Manoj Shirure, a physician based in Latur, and Tejas Harshadkumar Shah, a physics teacher at a coaching institute in Pune, a CBI spokesperson stated. Dr Shirure is accused of providing leaked chemistry questions to three students, one being the son of a coaching centre owner facing charges in Latur. Authorities initially considered designating Dr Shirure as a witness but chose to arrest him after seeking legal advice.
