Electricity bills in Uttar Pradesh are expected to rise by 10 percent starting in June. This increase results from a surcharge linked to higher fuel prices, according to a statement from the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited.
The adjustment follows directives from the central government and guidance from the regulatory commission. The Fuel and Power Purchase Adjustment Surcharge for March 2026 will apply in June 2026 at a rate of 10 percent.
