A Delhi-born all-rounder has been added to Australia’s squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. The player, who once shared dressing rooms with several Indian cricketers during domestic matches, could become the first Indian-born male to represent Australia internationally in more than six decades.
The 30-year-old earned his first national call-up after a teammate withdrew from the Bangladesh tour for personal reasons. He has been competing for a club in a European T20 event in Belgium and spent time with an IPL franchise earlier this season. He is expected to join the Australian squad in Dhaka on Friday.
