The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre has chosen three Indian startups, two of them based in Bengaluru, as the first recipients of funding under its Technology Adoption Fund scheme for non-governmental space entities.

The selected companies are Bengaluru-based Astrobase Space Technologies and SatSure Analytics India, along with Hyderabad-based TM2SPACE Technologies.

IN-SPACe conducted a detailed multi-stage review involving experts from ISRO, DPIIT, the Department of Science and Technology, industry, and academic bodies. The firms will receive financial support to create advanced space technologies that strengthen domestic capabilities and improve India’s standing in the global space sector.

Astrobase Space Technologies will build an 800 kN-class reusable LOX-LNG rocket engine featuring high efficiency and modular design for medium and heavy launch vehicles.

SatSure Analytics India will create Dhaarini, a large Earth observation model serving as a national AI platform for remote sensing. It will deliver insights for agriculture, infrastructure, and disaster response using satellite and aerial data.

TM2SPACE Technologies will develop an AI-powered star tracker system, with versions for CubeSats and larger satellites, to provide precise attitude control for imaging and communication missions.

IN-SPACe Chairperson Dr. Pawan Goenka noted that the funding aims to help private firms move from early development to commercial success and expand India’s role in the space economy.

Technical Director Rajeev Jyoti said the projects address key technology gaps and were chosen after evaluating multiple proposals for alignment with scheme goals.

IN-SPACe will offer ongoing technical support and milestone-based funding. The Technology Adoption Fund assists industry in adapting and commercialising advanced space technologies.
