A large fire erupted in labor settlements near Udyog Bhawan in Delhi on Wednesday after an electrical panel ignited and spread to nearby temporary shelters, according to officials. The Delhi Fire Service dispatched about 20 tenders to the scene. Crews contained the flames by 5:10 am and declared the incident under control at 5:30 am. The blaze began in the electrical panel before reaching the labor accommodations. No injuries or deaths have been confirmed so far, and damage assessments continue.

In a separate event late Monday, another major fire broke out in slums behind Maulana Azad Medical College in the Balmiki Basti area of Takia Kale Khan. The fire service received the alert at 11:22 pm and sent initial teams. As the fire grew, the number of tenders rose to 24. A divisional officer stated that the incident has been fully contained. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. The affected zone included both residential slums and storage units.
