Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will visit the United Kingdom from June 25 to 27. He plans to meet his British counterpart and check preparations in both nations for launching the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement along with its Double Contribution Convention on July 15. The Commerce Ministry stated on June 24 that Goyal will conduct a high-level meeting with UK Business and Trade Secretary Peter Kyle. This step supports the activation of the pacts and deeper economic links. Talks will cover regulatory alignment, customs coordination, and administrative steps for smooth rollout. Ministers will also examine tariff reductions under the trade deal and the operational plan for the convention. They will address market access in services and steps to boost bilateral trade and investment.
