Khalsa Aid International received the 2026 Lions International Humanitarian Award, among the highest global honours for relief efforts. The recognition highlights the group’s extensive work in disaster response and aid delivery across many nations.

The award was given at a ceremony during the 2026 Lions International Convention held in Hong Kong, drawing thousands of participants and aid leaders from around the world.

Founder and chief executive Ravi Singh accepted the honour for the organisation. He stated that he received it with humility, viewing it as recognition of the volunteers, donors and staff who have supported the group over twenty-five years.

Established in 1999, Khalsa Aid has provided assistance in over fifty countries. It has addressed conflicts, natural disasters, refugee situations and other emergencies, following the Sikh principle of selfless service.

The organisation supplies food, clean water, medical care, shelter and recovery help to millions, assisting people without regard to background or belief.

In his remarks, Singh recalled the group’s initial mission during the Kosovo refugee crisis and its later worldwide growth. He noted that suffering crosses borders and that compassion should do the same, stressing the need to show people they are not forgotten.

The award carries a $500,000 grant from the Lions Clubs International Foundation to fund ongoing programmes and emergency responses.

Singh expressed particular appreciation for the recognition from Lions Clubs International, noting the alignment with its service motto.

Over the past twenty-five years Khalsa Aid has become a recognised frontline aid provider, operating in difficult conditions to support communities affected by war, displacement and disasters.

Singh ended by thanking the network of volunteers and supporters, saying the award encourages continued efforts to aid those in need and restore faith in humanity.
