The National Conference plans major public rallies in Srinagar and Jammu on July 11 and 12. These gatherings represent the party’s first major demonstration since it returned to power in 2024.

The events take place as the ruling party faces increasing opposition criticism and public frustration over its inability to fulfill pledges to restore statehood and special status for Jammu and Kashmir.

The rallies precede a planned protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on July 20, the first day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, as part of the party’s renewed campaign for statehood restoration.
