Actor Madhoo Shah recently gave a tour of her sea-facing home. Married in 1999, she moved into the residence shortly after her wedding and has lived there with her husband, mother-in-law, and two children. Despite its age, the property provides lasting comfort unlike many newer houses. The entrance displays religious artwork including images of Lord Ganesha, Lord Buddha, Mother Mary, and angels, showing the family’s spiritual interests. The main living space uses a cream and beige palette with red highlights and vintage furnishings. A notable item is a wooden Chinese bed originally part of a pair. Large windows offer ocean views and natural light. The dining area seats twelve and features red chairs plus an antique Chinese stone piece. A collection of 53 teapots gathered by her mother-in-law from various locations is also displayed. The interiors were arranged by family members rather than a professional designer. Designer Sachin Gupta noted that successful maximalist spaces rely on careful sequencing and consistent materials to avoid clutter.
