X is strengthening its creator payment policies by targeting users who steal content or rely on engagement tactics for revenue. The platform now uses its latest Grok AI model to detect copied posts more efficiently.

The company announced on July 16 that the updated Grok version identifies duplicated material three times faster than before. This reduces the ability of users to profit from reposting others’ work.

Nikita Bier, X’s head of product, stated the system spots not only copied videos but also text posts shared without credit. Edits such as added watermarks or intros will no longer allow creators to earn from views on stolen material. Revenue from such reposts is redirected to the original creators.
