Actor Sanjay Mishra has received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Bhumi Pednekar’s Bhakshak. In a statement, he expressed gratitude for the honour and thanked the jury for the selection. He recalled his late father, who worked with the Press Information Bureau, noting that the award announcement also came from there. Mishra stated that over three decades he has remained committed to each role. He credited directors, producers, writers, technicians, fellow actors and audiences for the recognition. In Bhakshak, he portrays a seasoned cameraman assisting journalist Vaishali Singh. The film, directed by Pulkit and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, premiered on Netflix in 2024. Mishra recently appeared in Dhamaal 4 and Kartavya.
