A Pakistani couple has accused two Punjab Police constables of harassment and attempted extortion. The account, posted on a social media consumer advocacy page, quickly gained wide attention and prompted others to share similar stories. According to the husband, the incident occurred on Wahdat Road in Lahore. He had stopped after his pregnant wife felt unwell and began vomiting. Hazard lights were on when two officers without nameplates or a registration plate arrived on a motorcycle. One reportedly called for backup, claiming they had caught a couple in an indecent act. The man explained the situation and showed the interior of the car, but an officer tried to open the door and insisted they go to the station. After the man asked for identification, the officers allegedly became abusive and demanded 5,000 rupees to leave. When he called the police helpline, the pair fled. No help arrived for over 40 minutes. The post has drawn numerous comments describing comparable encounters, though Punjab Police have not yet responded.
