Chaii Stop has launched its latest cafe in Blackburn, introducing South Asian-inspired dishes, chai traditions and community-oriented dining to Lancashire. The brand opened its second site in the county at Whalley Range after the success of its Preston location. Founded by Usman Hussain, the chain seeks to offer inviting environments for enjoying meals and cultural experiences. The 40-seat venue occupies the former Drakes Dental Care premises opposite Cedar Street. It has been converted into a contemporary dining area serving hot and cold beverages, breakfast items and street food choices. The Blackburn launch represents another step for Hussain, who established Chaii Stop to foster connections through food and hospitality. He stated that the goal was to build a space uniting people around quality meals, chai and sincere service. The team developed the cafe design internally instead of adopting a franchise approach, preserving brand consistency and customer experience. Conversion of the former dental practice took about three months. Chai remains central to South Asian social customs and hospitality. Cafes in these communities often serve as gathering points across generations. Contemporary chai venues now merge traditional tastes with updated designs. Chaii Stop follows this pattern by pairing familiar flavours with a modern setting. Its menu features breakfast and street food classics alongside signature drinks aimed at varied customers. The brand has drawn notice via inventive social media efforts, including a campaign urging diners to store phones away during meals in exchange for discounts. Hussain noted that social media helps link the business with patrons by showcasing authentic operations, customer appreciation and community support. Initiatives such as Blogger’s Day invite creators to visit and engage with local areas. Chaii Stop’s expansion underscores the growing role of British Asian business owners in UK hospitality. The Blackburn branch is set to open on July 24, 2026, enhancing the town’s varied dining options with South Asian influences.
