The annual three-day Jyeshtabhishekam festival at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati ended with the Kavacha Samarpanam ritual on Sunday. Following the early morning Suprabhatam, sacred armours were carried in a procession that included Satakalasa, Snapanam and Mahasanthi Homam ceremonies. A Snapana Tirumanjanam was then performed for the processional idols of Sri Govindaraja along with Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. The event closed with Kavacha Pratishta, returning the armours removed on the opening day to the deities. In the evening the idols wearing the armours were paraded through temple streets. Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, TTD Deputy Executive Officer K. Santhi and other officials took part.
