Heavy rainfall in recent days has led to flooding across Odisha, killing three people and impacting more than 200,000 residents in 748 villages spanning six districts. A firefighter among the dead was electrocuted, while an elderly person died after a wall collapsed, both incidents occurring in Keonjhar district. Northern districts Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur suffered the most damage, with Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj and Sambalpur also hit. Over 30,000 people were moved from vulnerable low-lying zones. A total of 226 villages remain isolated by floodwaters.
