The government has lowered the export duty on petrol to zero in its recent fortnightly assessment. Duties on diesel and aviation turbine fuel exports were set at 24 rupees and 19.5 rupees per litre, respectively.
Excise duties on petrol and diesel for domestic use remain unchanged.
Following tensions in West Asia earlier this year, authorities have conducted biweekly reviews of export taxes since March 27 to maintain local fuel supplies by discouraging overseas shipments.
In the prior review, export duties stood at 3.5 rupees per litre for petrol, 25.5 rupees for diesel, and 22 rupees for ATF.
