Speciality chemicals firm Indo Amines reported on Monday that two individuals, one of them an employee, died on Saturday after a gas leak occurred at its plant in Mahad, Maharashtra. A third worker from an adjacent facility also died while receiving medical care. The cause of the leak remains unclear, and production at the site has been halted temporarily. The company anticipates no significant operational effects during the review. Its shares dropped as much as 4.6 percent to 124.02 rupees on Monday and closed 3.9 percent lower, marking the largest single-day decline since June 29.
