Former Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai has disclosed details of a private conversation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah before his departure from the party. Speculation had suggested Shah whispered a secret political strategy for the state. In a video released on Monday, Annamalai clarified the exchange during an environmental rally in Chennai organized by his new group, We The Leaders. He stated that Shah proposed a national position in Delhi for three years. Annamalai said he declined the offer, preferring to remain in Tamil Nadu. Critics had accused his new platform of serving as a BJP proxy, claims he rejected as false. He urged party members to verify the offer directly with Shah during an upcoming visit. Annamalai also criticized centralized decision-making in the BJP and expressed commitment to local politics rather than relocating abroad.
