India’s space sector has undergone transformative reforms, with the central government progressively opening the domain to private participation. The Indian Space Policy, 2023 (“ISP”) provides the overarching framework for space activities, enabling both governmental and non-governmental entities to participate in end-to-end space activities. The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (“IN-SPACe”) serves as the single-window autonomous nodal agency under the Department of Space for authorising and regulating space activities.
