Immigration attorney Rahul Reddy has responded to online discussions suggesting that Indian managers in the United States primarily hire other Indians or H-1B visa holders. Reddy, who established the Reddy Neumann Brown PC law firm in 1997, stated that none of the firm’s current partners are of Indian origin. The partners include Krystal Alanis, Rebecca Chen, Emily Neumann, Steven Brown and Ryan Wilck.

Reddy’s comments follow increased scrutiny by social media users and activists examining H-1B hiring practices, particularly at companies with Indian-origin leadership. A separate lawsuit filed by a Chinese-American professor against Southern Methodist University in Texas, alleging favoritism toward Indian candidates by a department head, has also contributed to the debate.

Reddy acknowledged instances of fraud within the H-1B program but emphasized that such issues exist across many government initiatives. He noted that high demand for STEM skills in the United States often exceeds the supply of qualified domestic candidates, and argued that social media portrayals do not fully reflect the program’s role.
