Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao said on Monday that the BRS serves justice to one family only, the Congress has become a party offering justice to brothers, and the BJP alone works for justice to the people.
Speaking at a state OBC Morcha meeting at the party office, he asked the state government to release figures on people helped by the MBC Corporation and funds given out in the last two years.
He questioned whether the MBC Corporation is working and has enough money, noting the BC Corporation also lacks funds, and asked whom the Congress is trying to mislead.
Rao told BC communities they were let down by both the BRS and Congress, and only the BJP has given them justice. He asked party workers to promote central welfare schemes and their benefits to various groups under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He claimed the Congress government’s 5% reservation for Muslims inside the BC quota takes away shares from real BC groups. He also said several municipal divisions reserved for BCs are being won by AIMIM and Muslim candidates.
Rao noted that no Congress-ruled state has a BC chief minister, despite Rahul Gandhi raising BC representation under the BJP. He added that the Congress-led UPA appointed no OBC secretaries, with only two of 102 officers from scheduled tribes and none from OBCs.
