Manipur police announced Friday the arrest of a husband and wife from Kangpokpi district over their suspected role in the May killings of six Naga men. A joint team from state police, the National Investigation Agency and the Central Reserve Police Force carried out the operation in the early hours based on reliable information. The detainees, named Pradip and Ayingbi, live in Leilon Vaiphei village. Witnesses later identified the pair as having taken part in the abduction. Police added that further arrests of other suspects remain underway.
