A wedding in Gujarat’s Dahod district turned into a health crisis when numerous attendees became unwell after the meal. The event took place in Abhlod village, with approximately 300 to 400 participants. Authorities suspect food poisoning as the cause, though an investigation is ongoing to confirm.

The situation quickly escalated into an emergency, with guests suffering from intense vomiting and diarrhea shortly after eating.

By late evening, affected individuals sought urgent assistance.

Rajiv Damor, resident medical officer at Zydus Hospital, reported that the team responded promptly upon notification. He stated that the wedding drew 300 to 400 people, and symptoms emerged around 11 p.m. Patients were transported to the hospital, where 50 to 60 are currently under care, all stable and receiving treatment.
