Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat stated on Thursday that he trusts India’s younger generation completely and believes students are entitled to protest for improvements in the system. At a public event, he noted he lacked details on recent clashes between police and demonstrators yet remained confident in the youth. Bhagwat described protest as a valid form of democratic dialogue and said grievances about the education system are legitimate. He observed that unlike earlier generations, Gen Z and Gen Alpha seek logical answers with empathy. The leader added he would never discourage protests but stressed the need for proper democratic channels. He rejected labeling such actions as anti-national and called for compassion toward the youth, describing them as honest. Bhagwat also said education should not be treated as a commercial activity and supported allocating six percent of the national budget to it, noting this is a shared social duty. On international conflicts, he said citizens should align with government decisions while upholding humanity, adding that Pakistanis are not entirely enemies. He further remarked that members of the LGBTQ community form an integral part of society.
