East Bengal FC were drawn alongside Al Hussein SC from Jordan, Al Shorta SC from Iraq, and Al Seeb Club from Oman in Group D of the AFC Champions League Two 2026-27. The draw took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. As Indian Super League 2025-26 champions, the team earned group stage entry with a 4-1 win over Al Arabi SC of Kuwait in the preliminary round at Salt Lake Stadium. This marks their ninth group stage appearance in Asia’s second-tier men’s club event and the first since 2015. Their opponents include the Jordanian Pro League 2025-26 winners, the Iraq Stars League 2025-26 runners-up, and the Oman Professional League 2025-26 champions. Thirty-two clubs split into eight groups of four, with the top two from each advancing to the round of 16. East Bengal will play home and away matches against each rival. The group phase runs from September 15 to December 9, followed by knockout rounds through May 2027.
