Apple is reportedly planning a significant update to its high-end devices, including multiple new iPad Pro versions and a refreshed entry-level MacBook Pro, with launches expected in 2027. A Bloomberg report indicates the company is evaluating four iPad Pro options, two in the current 11-inch format and two in 13-inch, aimed at a spring 2027 release focused mainly on internal improvements.

The new tablets are expected to include faster processors as part of Apple’s yearly chip updates. Testing has also covered a vapor chamber cooling system to enhance performance during demanding tasks like video editing, gaming, and AI processing.

The iPad Pro line was last updated in October 2025 with the M5 chip. Prices have since risen, with the 11-inch model now starting at $1,199 and the 13-inch at $1,499.

Earlier speculation about an 18.8-inch foldable iPad Pro for 2027 appears unlikely, as the four models are described as standard updates.

In parallel, Apple is working on a redesigned 14-inch entry-level MacBook Pro, codenamed K104, potentially launching in the first half of 2027 with a new body design matching higher-end versions. An earlier version with the existing design and M6 chip has been set aside in favor of the updated model.

The company also plans to release its M7 processor in the first half of 2027 to handle growing AI demands, though supply issues for memory and chips may cause delays. If timelines hold, 2027 could see several new Apple products.
