Despite the transition in leadership under the BJP, Manipur continues to face ongoing unrest. Increased engagement from the Home Ministry, along with sincere initiatives by the BJP to include various political figures in de-escalating conflicts, could prove effective. This approach should be supported by policies that enable law enforcement to target extremist groups involved in reckless acts of violence, including explosions.
