The Madhya Pradesh government has approved a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the death of a woman from Noida at her marital home in Bhopal, classified as a dowry-related case. The state Home Department issued an official order granting consent for the central agency to handle the investigation. Under the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946, this authorization permits CBI personnel to examine the main offense as well as any related abetment or conspiracy across the state. The directive has been shared with relevant central and state officials to facilitate the transfer of case records.
