Royal Challengers Bengaluru star Virat Kohli keeps adapting to the needs of modern T20 cricket. He shifted his batting style at the top of the order for RCB in the previous season to anchor the innings and did so again this year. With 675 runs at an average of 165.84, former India player Sanjay Manjrekar praised his improved pace while staying consistent.

Manjrekar said on Instagram that Kohli has now mastered the T20 batting required in IPL cricket. This means targeting a strike rate of 150 to 160 and making the most of the first six overs. The key is his balanced power game, operating in third or fourth gear while others chase rates of 200 or 230.
