Hyderabad: The enumeration stage of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Telangana is complete. The Chief Electoral Officer reported that 2,64,87,214 forms, covering 78.30 per cent of the electorate, have been digitised. Telangana has 3,38,26,448 electors in total under the exercise. Forms for 73,39,234 electors, or 21.70 per cent, were deemed uncollectable. These were broken down into deaths (9,22,230), absent or untraceable (11,25,546), permanently shifted (45,18,961), already enrolled (6,70,203) and others (1,02,294). The largest share involved electors who had permanently relocated. Booth Level Officer visits ran from June 25 to August 10. Polling station rationalisation ends by August 10. The draft electoral roll will be published on August 17, opening a claims and objections window until September 16. Processing continues to October 15, with the final roll set for October 19, 2026. The report offers the first full view of enumeration outcomes.
