Foo Fighters will perform in Bengaluru and Mumbai during January 2027, marking the first appearances by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band in India. The group, which has earned 15 Grammy Awards, formed in 1995 and has toured widely in North America, Europe, Australia and parts of Asia including Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and South Korea. India had remained one of the few major markets the band had not visited until now. The shows are set for Bengaluru on January 29 and Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 31. BookMyShow Live is producing the events as full-day rock festivals. Supporting acts include The Pretty Reckless and Die Spitz in both cities, with Pinkshift and Alain Johannes added in Bengaluru and Mali and Still In Therapy in Mumbai. The announcement arrives as India’s live music scene has grown substantially. Recent large-scale concerts by international artists have demonstrated strong audience interest and market development. Foo Fighters emerged after the end of Nirvana and became known for anthemic rock songs such as Everlong, My Hero, Learn to Fly, Times Like These, All My Life, Best of You and The Pretender. The India dates follow the release of the band’s twelfth studio album, Your Favorite Toy, which returns to guitar-focused material. A career-spanning setlist is planned. Dave Grohl stated that after 31 years the band looks forward to performing for Indian fans and that the wait will prove worthwhile. Tickets go on general sale at noon on June 16 via BookMyShow.
