New Delhi: India’s all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy faces a tight schedule to regain fitness for the three ODIs against England beginning July 14 in Birmingham. The BCCI medical team has recommended extended rest, and rehabilitation has not yet started. He was sidelined from recent T20Is versus Ireland and England due to left quadricep discomfort. The issue is considered minor, stemming from the third ODI against Afghanistan in Chennai. Officials are tracking his recovery and hope to include him next month, though participation in England appears unlikely. The Zimbabwe T20Is may offer a return option. Selectors will decide shortly. Squad members will join in stages. Captain Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul are expected to arrive ahead of others, who will assemble by July 12 before the opener. The squad includes Shubman Gill (Captain), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer (Vice-Captain), KL Rahul (WK), Ishan Kishan (WK), Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh and Gurnoor Brar.
