Pune police have approached a court seeking approval to conduct polygraph tests on Siya Goyal, 20, and Chetan Chaudhary, 22, in connection with the death of realtor Ketan Agarwal. A polygraph test measures physiological responses including blood pressure, pulse, respiration and perspiration during questioning.
On Thursday morning, officers took Goyal to a location in Lullanagar where she and Chaudhary are said to have rehearsed pushing Agarwal from a cliff at Lohagad Fort. Goyal identified the rehearsal site during the visit. Investigators have collected extensive technical and digital evidence that is now being examined.
Police claim Goyal disrupted a planned pre-wedding trip to Bali. Agarwal’s father told investigators that his son had voiced repeated concerns about Goyal’s relationship with Chaudhary. Goyal’s father stated that officers visited his home on Friday but did not question him and stayed for 30 to 45 minutes.
Earlier, police recreated the incident with Chaudhary on Wednesday and with Goyal on Sunday, using a dummy to demonstrate the fall. Goyal and Chaudhary are accused of murdering 25-year-old Agarwal by pushing him off the cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18. The couple was set to marry in November.
