The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited is advancing India’s first bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The 508 km Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor will include 12 stations. Work on stations in Gujarat is currently in progress.

The route passes through Gujarat, Maharashtra and the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The stations are Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Billimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati.

The Ahmedabad station is being developed as a multimodal transport hub. Passengers will be able to transfer easily between metro trains, buses, taxis and other local services while maintaining smooth traffic movement nearby.
