The Jharkhand administration has introduced a strategy aimed at enhancing its digital systems and incorporating artificial intelligence into state governance.

This was revealed on Wednesday during the opening of the two-day National Stakeholders’ Consultation 2026 in New Delhi. The event featured the unveiling of the Jharkhand Artificial Intelligence Policy for 2026 to 2031, intended to apply AI in areas including healthcare, agriculture, education, mining, environmental oversight, and disaster management.

Officials outlined plans to allocate 1,150 crore rupees over five years toward developing AI systems, bolstering digital resources, fostering innovation, and promoting AI use in various departments.
