Following recent concerns over donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the trust’s search committee met for the first time on Saturday to set eligibility rules and the hiring process for a new Chief Executive Officer. Officials stated that applications will be accepted until July 18 through a dedicated email address now being established. The three-member panel includes retired Justice Pramod Kohli, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Vishnukant Chaturvedi and former Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust chairman Suresh Haware. They reviewed required qualifications, prior experience and the overall selection method. Candidates must hold a graduate degree and possess at least 20 years in administration or finance, with preference for those who have managed temples. Applicants must also be Hindu. After the deadline, the committee will review submissions, interview shortlisted individuals and recommend a candidate. The chosen CEO will serve an initial three-year term and live in Ayodhya. The panel aims to finish the process within a month and will appoint a secretary to manage coordination and paperwork. The CEO will handle daily operations of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, which runs the temple. The recruitment effort follows the temple’s consecration and rising visitor numbers.
