Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth visited Eastern Command units on July 14 and 15 to examine security conditions and evaluate the readiness of troops stationed along the eastern border. During his time with the Trishakti Corps, he received updates on troop placements, monitoring systems, and current security conditions in the area. He also examined efforts to integrate new technologies, strengthen capabilities, and modernize forces. On July 15, at Bengdubi Military Station, the Chief reviewed local security measures and supply arrangements to maintain continuous preparedness. He then proceeded to the Spear Corps area, where he assessed operational readiness amid changing conditions in the Northeast. Briefings covered coordination between agencies and steps to improve combat effectiveness. The Chief also examined programs for engaging local communities to support peace and regional growth. Addressing officers and soldiers, he presented his “VIJAY” framework focused on vigilance, innovation, joint operations, self-reliance, and prioritizing personnel. These principles aim to keep the force responsive and prepared for future needs while supporting national development goals by 2047. He praised the troops for their skill, commitment, and performance under demanding conditions.
