Manas Majumdar, who heads oil and gas at PwC India, noted that UAE energy exports have mainly used Jebel Ali port west of the Strait of Hormuz. Shipments are occasionally rerouted to ports east or beyond the strait. The UAE is also planning to enlarge facilities at Fujairah. These options would support India’s energy security, he added.
