Skyroot Aerospace said it secured close to $60 million in new investment. The round lifted the Hyderabad rocket firm’s value to $1.1 billion, making it India’s newest unicorn.
Sherpalo Ventures and Singapore investor GIC led the round. Earlier backers such as the founders of Greenko Group and Arkam Ventures also took part.
Additional capital came from funds linked to BlackRock, Playbook Partners and the Shanghvi Family Office.
