Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not hold a traditional press conference following the Union Budget 2026-27, but he actively participated in a series of post-budget webinars to explain the government’s economic vision and policy direction. These webinars served as the primary platform for the Prime Minister to elaborate on the budget’s implications, replacing a conventional press interaction.
The most significant of these was the Post-Budget Webinar on “Technology, Reforms and Finance for Viksit Bharat”, which PM Modi addressed on February 27, 2026. During this session, he emphasized that the budget is a policy roadmap for a developed India (Viksit Bharat) by 2047, not just a financial document. He highlighted the government’s focus on technology-led governance, infrastructure development, and fiscal reforms as key pillars of long-term growth.
