Following the death of television actor Sanchita Ugale, her co-star Ujjwal Sharma denied rumours of a relationship. He stated they were not dating and that she had been living with someone else. Ujjwal noted he had not spoken to her for two to two-and-a-half months and claimed she faced difficulties due to her ex-boyfriend. He added that the production house was providing her support.
Actor Indraxi strongly rejected these claims and accused Ujjwal of mental harassment. She said Sanchita was forced to leave her show after facing ongoing mistreatment from him, which affected her health. Indraxi mentioned receiving calls from casting directors seeking a replacement for the lead role in Saajan Ghar. She alleged financial disputes, including unpaid money borrowed by Ujjwal, led to rude behaviour and threats. Indraxi claimed to have chat screenshots showing inappropriate language. Sanchita reportedly informed senior production staff but left when no changes occurred. The conflicting accounts have prompted online debate about the circumstances of her death.
