JioStar UK Ltd. has restored the Star brand identity, returning Star Plus, Star Gold and Star Bharat to viewers in the UK and Europe. The change ends the Utsav branding and takes effect on August 13, 2026. It follows the November 2024 merger of Star India and Viacom18. Star has served South Asian audiences in the region for over 25 years with family dramas, films and distinctive programming. The rebrand seeks to reconnect viewers with the familiar name. Amit Malhotra, Head of International Business at JioStar, noted the brand’s longstanding connection with UK audiences and pledged continued delivery of quality entertainment. The channels will keep their current availability on major platforms. A marketing campaign supports the return, including partnerships with Top-Op Foods and Pari Foods to mark the milestone.
