Love Island finalists Jasmine and Kavan have spoken publicly about the age gap between them and their views on the matter. Jasmine is 27 and Kavan is 21. Some viewers had questioned whether the pair were at similar life stages. Comments online noted the difference appeared noticeable or suggested they were not aligned in outlook. Others argued the gap would draw less attention if Kavan were older. In an interview with Capital Xtra, Kavan said he did not notice the age difference during their time in the villa. He added that age is not important and that Jasmine showed maturity through her speech and demeanor. Jasmine had previously stated she gave little thought to the gap. The couple appeared on This Morning and said they are not yet boyfriend and girlfriend but are very much in love and close to making the relationship official. They explained they are taking time to adjust to life after the show and want to ensure their connection works outside the villa before rushing any decisions.
